CCS Disability Action is a nationwide organisation that provides support, advocacy and information for disabled people. We work with disabled people aged between 16 and 65, who are not currently in school and are looking to build their community connections or move into employment. If you are actively looking for work, we have the experience, knowledge and connections to support you to get into employment or back to work.
Workwise is an employment support agency focused primary on people with personal and health challenges. Our main purpose is to connect people to the employment of their choice. We provide services based on the individual placement and support model, which means we work individually with people to support them to find a job that matches their personal aspirations. We approach employers directly on behalf of people to understand current vacancies and needs of the employer so we can place the most appropriate person into a role, if there is a match.

Avalon is a charitable trust which provides services to disadvantaged individuals with barriers to inclusion in the Bay of Plenty region. Avalon works with individuals from the age of 16-65 years old who have a disability or health condition that is attributable to an intellectual, cognitive, neurological, sensory or physical impairment, which presents a barrier to participation and inclusion in living a valued life in the community.

Alpha are a national company located throughout New Zealand, who work collaboratively with our clients and their customers to help and assist working age people to prepare for, make the transition to and find suitable and sustainable employment. Alpha provides customised vocational rehabilitation solutions, assessments, work trials, work ready and pre-employment programmes, graduated return to work assistance, placement services and in work support.

Accessible Properties are a social and disability housing provider committed to providing housing that meets tenants’ needs and tenancy services that support long-term successful inclusive living in a community. Accessible Properties is focussed on improving the self-confidence, self-esteem and employability skills of social housing tenants in Tauranga by supporting them to access employment and training opportunities.

Work and Income
Work and Income NZ facilitate a number of employment training programmes run by external contracted providers. Our staff also run seminars, such as job searching group seminars, and can also provide one on one advice to clients looking for employment. Our Work Brokerage service provides a direct link between employers and our clients by securing specific employment opportunities with employers and linking our clients to these opportunities.
Toi ohomai
One of the largest tertiary providers in the Bay of Plenty. Toi Ohomai’s five main campuses can be found throughout the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato in Rotorua, Taupō, Tauranga, Tokoroa and Whakatāne. Toi Ohomai can assist with pre-employment preparation, career planning, employability skill development as well as community and industry networking events.
